Weightlifting Advanced Referee & Coaching Course

The Myanmar Weightlifting Federation (MWF) and the Department of Sports and Physical Education, Ministry of Sports Affairs (MSA) jointly organized the Advanced Referee & Coaching Course to enhance awareness of competition procedures and international rules.

Course Schedule & Venue

The comprehensive training program was successfully conducted from 22nd – 26th June 2026 at the sports training camp (Gold Camp) in Naypyitaw, accommodating a total of 32 trainees.

Honorable Opening

The opening ceremony was highly honored by the presence of His Excellency U Ye Myint Tun, President of the Myanmar Olympic Committee (MOC) and Union Minister of the Ministry of Sports Affairs, who delivered the opening remarks along with distinguished government guests.

Key Lecturers & Officials

Following the speech delivered by U Oak Ghar Aye (President of MWF), the educational sessions and technical assessments were led by the prominent officials of the federation:

  • Mr. Thi Han – General Secretary of MWF
  • Mr. Myo Min – Assistant General Secretary of MWF
  • Mr. San Myint – Coach (MWF)
  • Ms. Naw Lar Ka Phaw Shie – Coach (MWF)

Interactive Assessment & Graduation

Throughout the training, the participants engaged in interactive discussions and practical knowledge exchange. On 26th June, all trainees successfully completed their proficiency assessments and were awarded official completion certificates, concluding the training program with great milestones achieved.
