SEA Games Day 2 New World Records again and again!
Welcome to the second day of the 2025 SEA Games. Let’s start with Men 65kg and the Gold was belonged to PATSAPHONG THONGSUK (THA). It was very excited with only 1 kg different from the second, MUHAMAD AZNIL BIDIN (MAS), in Snatch. The Thai lifter lifted 307 kg, followed by Malaysian 306 kg and EKO YULI IRAWAN, Beijing 2008 Bronze Medalist, in the third place.
In Women 58kg, SURATWADEE YODSARN (THA), 2025 AWC Silver Medalist, showed her outstanding performance with 224 kg for the winner. NATASYA BETEYOB (INA), 2024 Tashkent Bronze Medalist, did good for the first place in Snatch, but finish with the second – 218 kg. THI TAM QUANG (VIE) lifted 215 kg to ended in the third accordingly.
The highlights were in MEN 71 kg when Thailand and Philippines teams broke World and Asian Records again and again. WEERAPHON WICHUMA (THA), Paris 2024 Silver Medalist, broke World & Asian Records in C&J – 195 kg and Totals 347 kg for the Gold Medal. ALBERT IAN DELOS SANTOS (PHI) also did great to break new Junior World Record in C&J – 186 kg for the Siver Medal and DUC TOAN NGUYEN (VIE) finished with 305 kg for Bronze. This is fantastic days for our SEA lifters and cannot wait for the next competition. Congratulation to all!
