National Coaching Course

The Laos Weightlifting Federation (LWF) organized the National Coaching Course aimed at educating Laotian coaches to be ready for national weightlifting events.

Course Schedule

With great support from Olympic Solidarity and the NOC, the course was held from 15th – 19th July 2026 in the capital city, Vientiane.

Opening Ceremony

On the first day, the course was honored to have Mr. Kasem Inthara (NOC Executive Member) preside over the opening ceremony, alongside the LWF Vice President and the Director of the Sports Institute of Lao.

International Collaboration & Workshops

The SEAWF was requested to support the course with a key lecturer, Mr. Suriya Dattuyawat, a Thai Weightlifting Expert. He guided all 22 participants through educational sessions and workshops, aiming to enhance their experiences in weightlifting and facilitate knowledge exchange.

"Lao and Thai have worked together for a long time in developing coaches. Thus, this is such a good opportunity that Lao coaches have continued to develop themselves from the last Lao National Games until now. I am looking forward to see their team in the international event soon."
