Day 1: World Record in Men 60 kg!

THEERAPONG SILACHAI (THA) did great job for the World Record 173 kg in Clean & Jerk for Men 60 kg during 2025 SEA Games in Chonburi Thailand!
The first day of SEA Games started with Women 48kg and LULUK DIANA TRI WIJAYANA (INA) took the first Gold in this event with 184 kg in Totals. It’s just only 1kg from THANYATHON SUKCHAROEN (THA) who is the second place by 183kg and THI THU TRANG NGUYEN (VIE) won the Bronze for 181kg.
Highlight of the day was in the Men 60 kg when THEERAPONG SILACHAI broke the World Record – 173 kg in C&J for the Gold Medal Totals 304 kg. He is the Silver Medalist in Paris 2024 recently. Following by RICKO SAPUTRA (INA) and DUONG K' (VIE) with 295 kg and 289 kg.
In Women 53kg, SURODCHANA KHAMBAO (THA) won the first place - 204 kg with all good lift. HOAI HUONG NGUYEN (VIE) came to the second - 197 kg and YAR NAW TA BOE (MYA) took the first medal for her team with Bronze – 191 kg.
